I've been slowly moving to jQuery from Prototype. Prototype has a lot of powerful and useful stuff, but jQuery s lighter footprint and natural alignment with behavior-based javascript make it a better fit.

Neat, but its sort of depressing to see these kinds of things. Doesn t anyone out there nowadays want to code these kinds of things themselves? Personally, I think its an amazing experience to figure out how to write your own code from scratch to do this instead of plugging in some canned library.
