People have been criticizing Mozilla for the bountiful updates it’s been releasing for Firefox, but being a Firefox disciple; I have to say, “What’s the complaining about?”

The world’s largest open source browser had its 10th update recently (yours truly is running it) but the update was considered a silent update by most watching the browser space. The reason many are speculating there wasn’t much fanfare is because not much has been added to Firefox 10. The biggest additions so to speak, are the fixing of bugs that made lots of Firefox plugins and themes malfunction. There was also improvements made in terms of web interfacing with support added full-screen Web apps and anti-aliasing for WebGL applications.

Brand new to Firefox 10 is consideration for businesses who can now access extensive support. This will save businesses the excruciating wait for browser updates and should make more businesses switch entirely or at least try Firefox.

And if you are one of the many people wondering why Mozilla updates the browser so often, it’s because Google Chrome has the same updates schedule and is fast eating up the competition. Mozilla has to update regularly to stay relevant. For now though, Firefox 10 looks and feel stable to me, anyone on the fence should try it out. It’s available on all major operating systems.
